3 Key Issues when selecting Gutter Guards

What is the strongest material used for manufacturing gutter guards?
We always
choose COLORBOND® steel for Gutter Protection Systems gutter guards We choose to manufacture Gutter Protection Systems gutter guards from COLORBOND® steel for so many good reasons. Over 80% of all Australian gutters and fascias are made from COLORBOND® steel. And even the other 20% can only benefit from installing a gutter guard that resists hail impact, won't burn in a fire, or allow vermin to chew or push through it. We didn't just choose 'steel', we always choose COLORBOND® steel for Gutter Protection Systems gutter guards because its reputation for consistent quality, design flexibility, and durability is second to none. Plus, it's a great Australian-made product.

Are the gutter guards fixed over the roof and gutters, and will the installation process take long?

Our unique installation process is quick, easy,
and the existing roofing remains in place

Our unique installation process is quick, easy, and the existing roofing remains in place. When Gutter Protection Systems gutter shields are installed on a corrugated roof, it's usually constructed from the same COLORBOND® steel, and so we are securing coated steel to coated steel with roof screws and silicone sealant. Even if your roof is constructed from some other material (e.g. tiles), the process is the same. We never move tiles, or disturb the existing roof material, so, the integrity of your roof remains undisturbed. We simply add an extra safeguard that reduces fire risk from debris build-up, and increases the rainwater harvesting capacity of your gutters. At our factory, Gutter Protection Systems steel mesh gutter guards are contoured to specification before the installers come onsite, so it only takes a few hours to lay the lengths of steel mesh, screw them securely in place, and silicone seal them.

How does a gutter guard resist trapping debris?
Each length of Gutter Protection Systems gutter shields is made from
COLORBOND® steel Instead of debris sliding down the roof and into your gutters, Gutter Protection Systems gutter guards encourage an unbroken 'slide' over your gutters and past the edge of the roofline.
Each length of Gutter Protection Systems gutter shields is made from COLORBOND® steel that has been expanded to form raised openings in the metal. This raised surface is positioned with openings facing away from the roof, so there is nothing to trap debris as it slides down the roof. Rainwater, on the other hand, will react very differently to this design. When water hits that same raised profile, it causes a Ripple Effect, slowing down the water flow and allowing it to fall into the gutters for easier drainage and diversion to your water tank.
